Ken Clifton CPA
Partner

Ken Clifton

Ken has been in public practice for over 40 years.  He operates as General Manager of the firm, and focuses on small business advice and structuring.  Ken is a;

  • Certified Practising Accountant
  • Registered Company Auditor

During his time in public practice Ken has been involved with many different and varied businesses, and consequently has extensive knowledge and experience.

 

Ken married Olga in 1968, for which Olga really deserves a medal.  They have 4 sons and a dozen grand children, and love walks on the beach at, and sailing kayaks on, Callala Bay.  A keen fish hunter, Ken has swapped the spear gun for the rod and reel, and is out on the prowl for large king fish.


Kurt Clifton  CPA  JP
Partner

Kurt has worked in the public arena providing quality taxation and business advice since finishing school.  Kurt's qualifications include;

  • Certified Practising Accountant
  • Bachelor of Commerce

Diversification of client base leaves Kurt able to confidently and professionally guide business owners from business purchase to sale.  Kurt has an excellent working knowledge of self managed super funds.

 

Kurt is married to Emma and they have 4 children at last count.  Kurt is an avid spear fisherman and recently won the world championship in dwarf jelly wrestling (this last comment may or may not be true).

Brian Bramble  CPA  JP
Partner

Brian Bramble

Brian spent 10 years in industry in a number of accounting and finance roles, before moving into public practice in June 2002.  He specialises in business analysis, structuring and management, along with benchmarking.

 

Brian holds a Bachelor of Business and, like his partners, is a Certified Practising Accountant.  In providing outstanding service Brian takes a 'whole of business' approach, to ensure all relevant issues are considered.

 

Brian is a keen runner, taking up distance running to keep fit and fresh.   He is pursuing personal bests in half-marathons and the City 2 Surf, along with the King of the Mountain.  Brian is married to Tenneil with 2 daughters.

David Wallington
Accountant & Audit Consultant

David is one of Cliftons Income Tax and GST specialists, and handles our audits of registered and incorporated organisations.  A dedicated and tireless team member, David is meticulous in his approach to all he does.  He never fails to astound with the workload he undertakes, and with the volume of work he completes.

 

David is part of our thorough checking procedure to ensure that all clients work is complete and accurate, and that all possible deductions have been claimed.

 

David's nickname is Emu, a moniker he picked up after a big surf at Caves Beach and picking his way along a rocky path like an Emu.  He reckons the best sandwich ever is a peanut and jelly (jam) one.

Tanya Hunt CA
Accountant

 Tanya Hunt

Tanya has been in public practice in the Shoalhaven for well over a decade, and brings to the Cliftons team extensive and varied experience and qualifications.  Tanya handles all our self managed super fund accounts and income tax return preparation, having an area of expertise in Companies and Trusts in addition to Superannuation Funds.

 

Tanya is a Chartered Accountant, and gained her Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree from James Cook University in Queensland.  Through Cliftons continuing professional development program her skills and knowledge will be built upon to better service our clients.

 

Tanya is soon to be married to Mick, busy planning the December wedding.  She spends her time outside work squeezing in netball, camping and discovering what Australia has to offer.   Tanya is also known to spend hours on end in shopping centres raising the local economy.

Heather Luke PNA  JP
Client Services Administrator

Heather joined our Bomaderry team mid 2005 after working for a firm in Kiama for over 7 years.  Heather is a member of the National Institute of Accountants, holding the Professional National Accountant designation.

 

Experienced in providing business financial services to a diverse client base, Heather is a vibrant and energetic part of our team.

 

Heather enjoys cooking and trying out her new recipes on the Cliftons team (or guinea pigs, if you like).  She is enjoying growing up all over again with her 2 kids Ellie and Cooper.

Paul Nixon MNIA
Accountant

Paul Nixon

Paul joined our Bomaderry office in April 2005.

 

Paul's approach to his work includes getting an understand of the operations of the business, to get the a complete and rounded result, with outstanding service to clients.  A transition into accounting saw a steep learning curve with an excellent aptitude towards finance.

 

Having completed an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and then a Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting, Paul furthered his education by acquiring MNIA designation.

 

Paul is married with 2 primary school aged girls.  He is a mad keen mountain bike rider, competing in local events when he finds the time between his family and church.  Paul's interests also include camping, music and supporting his team, Parramatta Eels.


Cathy Phelps
Administration

Cathy has been part of the Cliftons team since late 2002, and is the gatekeeper, being the last line of our 3 stage checking process to ensure all client work is accurate and complete.

 

Cathy's dedication to the business is such that she pursued the "Small Business Management Certificate IV" to help in the running and management of Cliftons.

 

Cliftons involvement with S.E.C.E.T. as treasurer sees Cathy making sure all book work is complete and up to date, as well as handling all the payroll and cash flow necessities to keep S.E.C.E.T. ticking.

 

Cathy enjoys spending time with her family, being husband Steve and 2 children.  She loves camping, canoeing and bush walking.

Karyn Van Rossum

Known as our "Director of First Impressions", Karyn is the smiling face and cheerful voice of the business.  Karyn is the front line of the business, and the atmosphere she creates when greeting existing and new clients expounds the friendly, professional persona that Clifton's has become renowned for.

 

Karyn's dedication to the business is outstanding, and we are please to have her as part of the team.

 

Karyn and husband Rob have been married for over 30 years, with 3 lovely grown up children.  Apart from time with her family, Karyn enjoys kayaking, camping and pretty much anything outdoors.
